The challenge

Blythe House Hospice offers free, individualised, holistic care and support for those living with cancer or other serious, life-threatening illness. To better support their beneficiaries, they needed an extension to provide additional treatment rooms, a bathing area, a board room, and kitchen area. All of this had to be completed in a live environment without disturbing the normal functions of clients and staff. It was also a challenging time of year, with the weather doing everything it could to hold us back.

The solution

Building Projects Group has extensive experience working in live environments and is well versed in ensuring there are no disruptions. Despite having to create an entire first-floor extension, we made sure regular operations weren't impeded on, and used our expertise to create a modern space that was fit for purpose.

The benefits

Blythe House now has the much-needed extra space they required to provide the valuable care in the area. They were incredibly satisfied with how we operated around their services and kept everything on track. The hospice's board of trustees were delighted with the extremely high standard of work, which was completed on time, despite work being delayed through severe weather conditions.
