The challenge
Teva is one of the largest global pharmaceutical companies, specialising in the production of generic drugs. As part of a £4 million investment, Teva was looking to develop a state-of-the-art facility at their Runcorn site for manufacturing and packaging purposes. The challenge was to complete this high-specification project safely in a live environment.
The solution
Due to the site still being operational, this project required a considerable amount of planning and careful health and safety considerations. To ensure our work didn't impede current operations or in any way contaminate the products, we set up temporary screens and dust-proof, air-tight segregated zones.
From here, we could complete our work, constructing a cleanroom to ISO 7 standards. The full work included an entire fit-out, ceilings and flooring, fire protection measures, and establishing interlocking door sets around technical areas.
The benefits
Our aim with all of our work was to create a safe, compliant facility for Teva. We achieved what we set out to do, leaving the client extremely impressed with the high standards of workmanship. To make it even better, the project was completed to schedule and within budget. Our time and dedication resulted in a strong relationship with Teva, leading to much repeat business.
