The challenge
The new sterilisation and packaging facility was part of a £10 million investment by B Braun to provide a state-of-the-art sterilisation service. All they had was an existing industrial shell that needed transforming into one of the best facilities around.
The solution
Building Projects Group was brought on board to help in a number of ways. Our top priority was creating a facility that met the client's expectations and allowed them to be a leader in their industry. It extended beyond the sterilisation lab, encompassing complementary offices, change areas, and toilets. Our work created a whole new work environment.
The benefits
We ensured our work was completed on time, leaving the client extremely satisfied with the high standard of work and attention to detail. B Braun now has a state-of-the-art facility at their Kings Norton headquarters to enable the outsourcing of sterile services. The new decontamination centre utilises the latest processing technologies and incorporates some of the most modern systems for tracking surgical instruments throughout their life cycle, from purchase to eventual disposal.
