New extension in Chinley is just what the Doctor ordered
Staff and patients are celebrating after unveiling a brand new extension and new parking area at Chinley Surgery.
Constructed by the team at Building Projects (UK), the new wing at the surgery comprises a phlebotomy unit, a new waiting room and a reception area.
The surgery, which acts as a satellite for Thornbrook Surgery in neighbouring Chapel-en-le-Frith, required the extension to accommodate the possible influx of new patients from new housing developments bringing in an extra 500 people living in and around ½ mile radius of the surgery.
Julia Ralphs the practice manager at Thornbrook Surgery comments: “We’re yet again delighted with the work undertaken by the team at Building Projects (UK). This is the fourth project they have completed for us, the new extension will now allow us to provide better care for the wider community.
“The Building Work could have been a nightmare for us, instead of which, it was a pleasure. Building Projects (UK) have a professional attitude and work swiftly, the extension to our surgery is fantastic.”
Adam Bell, managing director at Building Projects (UK) adds: “The main challenge here was the weather, we were awarded the contract just before Christmas, due to our tight 12 week programme as such we had to envelope our works and make the extension watertight during terrible weather.
“We completed all our works without delay, fast tracking the project through careful planning and timely procurement”
