How do you ensure your construction contractors stay ahead of the game?

How do you ensure your construction contractors stay ahead of the game?

How do you ensure that you benefit from new methods and materials that are regularly brought to the market place, and that you employ motivated contractors to work on your important projects?

Here at Building Projects we do this by our commitment to both the Apprenticeship scheme and the NVQ skills based learning systems.

We all understand the necessary and important certification demanded by health and safety legislation. However this certification simply provides confirmation of an existing ability. At Building Projects we take this one important step further.

Our MD Adam Bell is committed to ensuring that not only are all staff capable but are also continuing to learn and develop their skills. This in turn leads to a workforce that is motivated and keeps at the forefront of new ideas and developments.

This development ethos is maintained through all areas of the business. Not only do we have level 2 and level 3 schemes ongoing in both joinery and decorating we are also working to develop leadership skills on site with an ongoing works management schemes for some employees.

However the ethos does not stop at site level. We also run the scheme within the office environment. Bryony, our Health and Safety Manager, is currently studying at NVQ level 5, whilst George one of our admin assistants, who joined us straight from school has recently successfully completed his level 3 in Business Administration.

Does our system work?

George would be extremely disappointed if I didn’t mention that he has recently been nominated for National Apprentice of the Year.
